Heritage Preservation Award
Diane and R.J. Peterson, owners of the S.S. Keewatin, were presented the Heritage Preservation Award, “recognizing achievement in preservation and enhancing ...our rural and village character.” This award was presented on April 12, 2006 by the Saugatuck/Douglas Historical Society in the category of “Blue Star Corridor.” This award is “For the preservation, restoration, and operation of the S.S. Keewatin, a historical landmark and a community hallmark located at the Blue Star Highway and Union Street.” |
